The wall is gentle
Opening up all its pores
Like a sympathetic ear
It absorbs each and every word
And becomes heavy
I talk to the night
The night is gentle
Gathering my words
A season of harvest
It then gets heavy
And starts to rain
When I am alone
When I have to write
These useless poems
Instead of being with you
I talk to myself
I am gentle
My arms and legs, they listen
And understand distance
They also become heavy
And fall into tangled-up gestures
